Gowalla Gifts on the Go

Gowalla has announced that for the holiday they are offering Gifts on the Go where you get gifts just for checking in. I’m not one to turn down free stuff. Today’s gift is pimped out Gowalla scarf, but they’ve also set up a little advent calendar on the page with some nifty CSS3 transformations (so be sure to use Safari or Chrome when viewing).

Also worth mentioning here, is the new version of the iPhone client, Gowalla 3, is out. Talk about Christmas coming early. We’ll no doubt talk ad nauseam about this in the next episode, but the refinements features of the new Gowalla iPhone app are incredible. From a speedier to check-in to -believe-it-or-not- Foursquare integration! You can even leave notes for your friends when they check in somewhere. Pretty fancy. Go download it on iTunes now, and yes, they’re working on the next iteration of the Android client.
