Tuesday, Refresh Austin

This Tuesday at Buffalo Billiards Refresh Austin will be presenting 2 sensational talks.

1. How to Get Funded or Get Acquired with Jason Cohen, Rackspace’s Founder Pat Condon and VP of Corporate Development Jim Curry. Acquisition and Venture Capital are things that are very common in our industry and can certainly be game changing for any company. If you’re a startup, creating an app, a con-artist, or hardup for cash then you should probably not miss this.
2. Ryan Joy will be talking about Scalable CSS Solutions. The title sort of sums it all up. I personally can’t wait to hear more about CSS pre-processors (like SASS) and best practices for modularity. During a little refresh ad-hoc session in December, Ryan got some people together to talk about this stuff. I’m interested in seeing the condensed final product of everything talked about.

Due to a slight change in schedule Ryan Joy will not be presenting on CSS. However, Josh Baer of OtherInbox will be joining the “Get Funded” panel.

I really can’t stress how cool I think this meeting of Refresh Austin will be. Last meeting at Texas Coworking was a completely packed. This time should be more spacious and have infinity beer downstairs.

Friday 4am to 4pm, @TexasCoworking Boagworld 200

The UK-based Boagworld Podcast will be celebrating their 200th episode with a 12 hour live webcast this Friday starting at 4AM Texas Standard Time. TexasCoworking is hosting a party to join in the celebration. Word on the street is they’ll have a live Skype feed as well.
